Salsa has long been a cherished appetizer in American homes. The dish is the perfect snack for football watching parties and social events. It's also a very fast and simple snack to make, particularly with a trusted hand mixer.
The first step is to assemble the ingredients. An eight ounce package of cream cheese will be needed. As will several ripe tomatoes, red bell peppers, ten ounces of soft cheddar cheese, and an onion. Salsa's versatility is one of its greatest strong suits and if you would like to add other ingredients, you can do so.
Next, chop the onion into small cubes and set aside. Slice the tomato the same way, after removing its leafy stem. The chunkiness of the salsa will slightly depend on how small you chop these vegetables since the mixer won't be able to break it down much further.
Next, blend the small package of cream cheese in a bowl of medium size. When it is softened, add the chopped onions and tomatoes in. Blend the mixture for a number of minutes before adding in the package of cheddar cheese. Afterwords, continue mixing.
When the reputable mixer has mixed all of the ingredients in the medium plastic bowl, continue onto the final steps. Chop the green bell peppers and green onions into small strips. If you want to toss in other ingredients like black olives or Jalapenos, they need to be diced or sliced now too.
Sprinkle the sliced bell peppers and green onions into the salsa. Stir the mixture until it has been blended to your liking. The hand mixer won't be needed for this part as stirring by hand will yield better results. Drizzle a little bit of lime juice and cover the bowl before refrigerating, it should keep for several days or until it is ready to be eaten.
